Hi friends EXCO members of PSA, I hope everyone is in good health and looking forward to carry PSA to greater heights in complementing USM's effort in becoming one of the elite universities in the world.
PSA has the potential to be the most important avenue for postgraduate students in channelling challenging ideas to the university. With great ideas, there is no limit as to how far USM can go forward.
I am glad to note that there are already planned activities for academic, visits & tours, culture, public affairs & communication, and sports for the whole of this academic year. The specifics (proposal) need to be submitted to me by 15-09-09 so that I can forward them the DVC Students Affairs for his approval.
The cultural activity 'Handshake Malaysian Culture' which is due early October 2009 is targetted to be a very big event. This will be incorporated in a three days program which will commemorate with the National Day celebration organised by USM with participation of universities in Northern Malaysia. This event provides us an opportunity to reach international students either as participants or audience. Let us use this opportunity to promote PSA to postgraduate students so that all are aware of PSA's existence.
